The sources of the study were relatively recently declassified archival documents, the author tried to succinctly present the
reliable history of OMSBON in chronological order, this is the first printed publication that accurately describes the history of OMSBON from the moment of its formation on the first days of the Great Patriotic War at the Dynamo stadium in Petrovsky Park in Moscow.
The selection of personnel of the 3rd and 4th battalions which were the parts of the First Motorized Rifle Regiment OMSBON of the NKVD troops of the USSR was carried out by the Central Council of the Dynamo Sports Society.
Previously, in repeated publications about a Separate special Purpose Brigade (OMSBON), the reader passed by information about the departmental affiliation of the OMSBON to the NKVD of the USSR. In this book the author publishes the full name of the brigade. In addition, for the first time information about the number and organizational structure of the OMSBON is published.
The third part of the book shows the participation and role of the OMSBON troops of the NKVD of the USSR in the battle for Moscow at its various stages.
The book for the first time publishes information about the actions of individual detachments of the first Motorized Rifle regiment OMSBON of the NKVD troops of the USSR behind the front line in 1942 and 1943, archival documents, information about the combat path, personal photos of the OMSBON veteran, commander of the second section of the sapper platoon of the first motorized rifle regiment OMSBON of the NKVD troops of the USSR, Senior Sergeant Pyotr Ivanovich Nabokov.
Heroism and selfless struggle of the pupils of the sports society "Dynamo", athletes, physical culture students of other sports societies of Moscow during the Great Patriotic War are described in four collections published under the single title "Dynamo players in the battles for the Motherland" (years of issue 1975, 1979, 1985, 1992).
